A book of prayers to the Holy Face of Jesus

8/17/23  Patience and perseverance,    Sorrow and love,  These are essential in being meeked in the Lord.  How does a war horse charge fearlessly into battle,  yet stop at the riders voice or the nudge of his heel!  It is a spiritual bond,  a union beyond all unions.  When two become one in spirit and in action!  Docility is being postured and open to being in the center of God’s Divine Will.  It is to be humble, yet fearless in your conviction and union to Christ.  Life now comes to you!   All is grace!  And it is obediently and reverently received such so that all our thoughts, word, and deed are divinized acts. Peace and complete trust reign in heart and spirit!  The soul becomes an empty vessel of God’s Grace and Will.  This is true unity!  This is true communion!  This is a spiritual fusion in Christ.  With Love, patience and perseverance we can withstand adversity and suffering.  With love, patience, and perseverance we can be joyful and serene and give glory to God in all things!Divinized as instruments of God’s Holy and glorious Will!  In Blessings and Battle,  "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me!"      Luke 4:18-19 (RSV)  “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.He has sent me to proclaim release to the captivesand recovering of sight to the blind,to set at liberty those who are oppressed,to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”

He that believeth, let him not hasten. And I will set judgment in weight, and justice in measure: and hail shall overturn the hope of falsehood: and waters shall overflow its protection. And your league with death shall be abolished, and your covenant with hell shall not stand: when the overflowing scourge shall pass, you shall be trodden down by it. Whensoever it shall pass through, it shall take you away: because in the morning early it shall pass through, in the day and in the night, and vexation alone shall make you understand what you hear. For the bed is straitened, so that one must fall out, and a short covering cannot cover both. This also is come forth from the Lord God of hosts, to make his counsel wonderful, and magnify justice.”(Isaias 28:16-29, DR) 1 St Peter 1:13-25He gives thanks to God for the benefit of our being called to the true faith and to eternal life, into which we are to enter by many tribulations. He exhorts to holiness of life, considering the holiness of God and our redemption by the blood of Christ. I. GENERAL COUNSELS OF CHRISTIAN HOLINESS Filial Obedience and Fear 1:13-21“Wherefore, having the loins of your mind girt up, being sober, trust perfectly in the grace which is offered you in the revelation of Jesus Christ. As children of obedience, not fashioned according to the former desires of your ignorance, But according to him that hath called you, who is holy, be you also in all manner of conversation holy: Because it is written: You shall be holy, for I am holy. And if you invoke as Father him who, without respect of persons, judgeth according to every one's work: converse in fear during the time of your sojourning here. Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, as gold or silver, from your vain conversation of the tradition of your fathers: But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb unspotted and undefiled Foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but manifested in the last times for you: Who through him are faithful in God who raised him up from the dead and hath given him glory, that your faith and hope might be in God.”(1 Peter 1:13-21, DR)Brotherly Love 1:22-25“Purifying your souls in the obedience of charity, with a brotherly love, from a sincere heart love one another earnestly: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but incorruptible, by the word of God who liveth and remaineth for ever. For all flesh is as grass and all the glory thereof as the flower of grass. The grass is withered and the flower thereof is fallen away. But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel hath been preached unto you.”(1 Peter 1:22-25, DR)       

7/18/23  Don’t die with the music in you!  You have been given the deposit of faith,  the power of the Holy Spirit,  the fruit of the Passion of Jesus Christ!  Our redemption is at hand!   But we must join our hands in prayer,  and our hearts must be with the Lord,  then the music of the mystery, becomes our gifts and graces, our vocation fulfilled,  and the abundance of God’s Grace is revealed through us, and in us! The music, the notes,  the pauses and the pages united fully in Christ,     become a grand symphony of grace,   and purity, innocence and simplicity spread throughout the world!  Grace abounds when we take the deposit of faith and nourish it with love,  and prayer,  and a glorious union with our God! May our hearts beat in unison!  May our souls be in harmony!  Don’t die with the music in you!  The Kingdom of God is at hand!     2 Corinthians 1:21-22 (NRSVCE)“But it is God who establishes us with you in Christ   and has anointed us,  by putting his seal on us and giving us his Spirit in our hearts   as a first installment.”

7/16/23  In the Angelus prayer which should be prayed at  6:00am, 12:00pm and 6:00pm daily.We recite the final supplication   “Pour forth we beseech thee O, Lord, Thy grace into our hearts,that we to whom the incarnation of Christ, Thy son was made known by the message of an angel.  May, by his passion in Cross, be brought to the glory of his resurrection, through the same Christ, our Lord.  Amen.”The glory of his resurrection has yet to be fulfilled!   The time of the harvest is now upon us, and those who wait faithfully will be rejoicing at the coming of the bridegroom!   Many will be outside the banquet hall where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.  The time of the harvest is upon us,  and only the wheat will remain, as they are brought to the glory of his resurrection!   Are you wheat or chaff?  It is time, and little time remains to come to Christ,  who draws all unto himself!  Surrender your Free Will, your addictions and obsessions to worldly things   and be lifted up in the Spirit   and be drawn to the Christ who alone can save you!  The Eternal glory of his resurrection or eternal suffering in hell is what is coming!   “Pour forth we beseech thee O Lord, thy grace into our hearts,  that we to whom the incarnation of Christ thy Son  was made known by the message of Angel,  May by his Passion and Cross,   be brought to the glory of his resurrection,  through the same Christ Our Lord!  Amen!

7/15/23  Make the most of your time!  An abundant life has many appearances.   But when we seek our last end at the beginning of each day,  Whatever our vocation,  whatever our graces or our crosses,  we make the most of our time!  This realm of time,  this valley of tears,  is a time of sanctification and grace!  A time of charity and spiritual elevation.   Purified by our thought word and deed,  or dragged into darkness  by idol worship or idol use of the time we have!  Make “effective use” of our time in union and in harmony with our creator.   Heaven exists in this realm of time,  and Christ is ever present,  for those who abide through him, with him, and in him,   in union with the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever!  Don’t waste time in worry and want!  The Kingdom of God is at hand!  One hand united to the other in prayerful harmony and union with our creator and King!  Seek the spiritual life at all times,  so that our lives become a living prayer and Christ abides in us!  Grace abounds in those who take the time to know and grow  in the spiritual realm of reality  that comes from living out the fullness of faith!   2 Corinthians 6:2"For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you,   and in the day of salvation I helped you.  ”I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor,   now is the day of salvation."
