A book of prayers to the Holy Face of Jesus

10/18/23  If God’s Kingdom Come  And his Will be done on earth as it is in heaven,  as the Lord's prayer states,  And if the Kingdom of God is in us as stated in   Luke 17:21 (DR)  "Neither shall they say: Behold here, or behold there.  For lo, the kingdom of God is within you.”  Therefore when our free will, becomes one with God’s Divine Will in the manner that it does in the Heavenly realms,   then heaven manifests itself fully in us here on earth!  All things manifest! All creation is God’s creation and they operate in harmony with God and unite with us  for God’s glory if our Wills align to the Divine Will of the Father!  The tree of life which is the cross bears its harvest every day to those who join the sacrificial meal where body, soul and divinity are consumed by us and strengthened in us!  “Give us this day our daily bread”  Matthew 6:11 (RSV)“You must eat my flesh and drink my blood or you will not have life within you”  Luke 6:54 (DR)God’s word became flesh, and his flesh becomes real food, the spiritual food needed to overcome the world the flesh and the devil, so that we the living stones of God’s Divine Kingdom,  here on earth, as it is in heaven!Let the light of Christ enlighten minds that have been darkened to this Divine truth  of God’s Divine Will!  His Will be done, on earth as it is in heaven!   Give us this day our daily bread! Let the profound truth of this prayer manifest in your hearts and minds,  to be enlightened and enriched by it, and live fully in it!    

10/13/23  Opposing wills lead only to contentiousness and pride.  Let the will of another, even an inferior one, preserve and protect humility, tranquility and peace of heart.  Even gaining the greatest virtue cannot overcome the value gained  by the obedient surrender of our will, to the will of another!   Seek along with others the Fathers will, so that all congregate to the righteous and right ordered life of grace.   It is easy to follow the Will of the Father,  and be open to hear his requests with a humble, tranquil, and peaceful heart where God’s grace abounds.  Obedient surrender and trust in God’s perfect plan!   1 Samuel 15:22 (RSV)And Samuel said,“Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices,    as in obeying the voice of the Lord?  Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,    and to hearken than the fat of rams."        

​10/9/23  We are vulnerable and we are susceptible!   vulnerable  vŭl′nər-ə-bəl  adjective  Susceptible to physical harm or damage.  Susceptible to emotional injury, especially in being easily hurt.  Susceptible to attack.   susceptible  sə-sĕp′tə-bəl  adjective  Easily influenced or affected. Especially sensitive; highly impressionable. Permitting an action to be performed; capable of undergoing something.   reinforced  verbSimple past tense and past participle of .adjectiveGiven added strength or support.(used of soaps or cleaning agents) having a substance (an abrasive or filler) added to increase effectiveness. reinforce  rē″ĭn-fôrs′transitive verbTo give more force or effectiveness to; strengthen.  To strengthen (a military force) with additional personnel or equipment.  To strengthen by adding extra support or material.    James 3:6 (ESV)  And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell.Philippians 4:8 (ESV)  Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things Both our faith and our fears are reinforced by what we say and what we think!  We are also a product of our environment!  Where and on what do we spend our time?? Do a contrite and sincere audit of your time and thoughts and your environment! Are you reinforcing faith or fear????   A good spot-check or litmus is if there is peace in your heart!   Joy and serenity exit only in a peaceful heart!  Anything else can lead to clutter, confusion, fear and frustration!  Find peace and then reinforce it by your thoughts, words, and surroundings!   (Think Eucharistic Adoration)   

10/6/23  Listen, Hear, Understand, Obey!   Love Is a Radiant Light - The Life and Words of St Charbel - page 49“All human beings are endowed with two ears of to hear, but very few hear. Among those who hear, there are very few who understand. Then, too, among those who hear, and understand, there are very few who live in accordance with what they have understood. There are very few who are heading toward the kingdom, and the gate is narrow.Listen, understand, and witness.Lend an ear to the Saviors voice. Understand the truth and bear witness to it. Live it. Keep silence in order to hear and to understand the Lords voice.But beware of lending an ear to the echo of your own thoughts; beware of hearing only yourselves.   Free yourselves from your ideas and let God‘s word purify them,  cutting away what must be eliminated and by rewriting what must be rewritten.”  Let go and let God!  Declutter.  Surrender.  Trust.  Obey.  Perfect Charity requires perfect obedience.   To stand in truth we must know the truth!  To know the truth we must listen and hear in the silence of our hearts!  There must be peace in our hearts to have silence in our hearts!  Christ then, must sit at the throne of our hearts;  Of our desire;  Of our thoughts;  Of our Will!  To become instruments of grace, we must be instruments of peace!  To become instruments of peace, we must have silence and simplicity and surrender!  What stirs you?  What agitates?  What do you fear?  Why do you fear?  Silence, simplicity, surrender.  Patience and obedience to quietly receive the Word, the Joy, the Grace which flows through the quiet contemplative!  John 16:33 (DR)  “These Things I have told you that you may have peace.  In the world you shall have distress, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” Quietly and obediently cling to Christ on the Cross!  With resolve and with solace become all that God intended through his Divine Will!  You have an identity!  You have a destiny!  Your identity is to live in the fullness of grace as a child of God!  Your destiny is to know, love, and serve him in this life     so that we can be forever united with him in the next!  Bring a friend!  Oh, and all your loved ones!    It is said we become what we think about most!Imagine the soul who always seeks the Holy Face of Jesus and quietly, consciously keeps Christ ever present in our thoughts, word, and deed? 

10/5/23  Detach yourselves from your obsessions and possessions!  Cling only to the spiritual life United ever deeper in Christ!  Where the spiritual gifts, the eternal gifts, and the grace of God is ever present.  Unite only in Christ Jesus, the way, the truth, and the Life!  Through him, with him, and in him, O God Almighty Father,  in the unity of the Holy Spirit,  all glory and praise and honor,   all splendor and magnificence,  omnipresent and omnipotent!  Unite with me Father, in the fullness of your grace,  in the power of your majesty,   your grand and glorious Divinity, in harmony of the Trinity!   Draw my nothingness into your fullness and grace!   Let me dwell in the gift of your Divine Will for eternity!   Thy Kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven!  Let all who dwell there be love for love, and grace upon grace!“The Kingdom of Heaven is in you and around you, when Word was made flesh!  Spread the Word!   Be the grace and glory for humanity!  Let your light and love permeate,  so that you may be witness and the visible signs of God’s glory, and his presence in the world! Romans 11:33-36"O the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God!   How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!  “For who has known the mind of the Lord,or who has been his counselor?”  “Or who has given a gift to him that he might be repaid?”  For from him and through him and to him are all things.  To him be glory for ever. Amen. Lord in your allness, you became lowliness, and defined glorious in an act of perfect charity!  We are free from sin and death but we must seek and nurture the light of Christ within us!  We must unite with you so we become  Light for light,  True God from True God,   For your glory and honor!  You have shown us the way!  We Look up to the glory and pure light of your countenance!  Drawn to your splendor and united in spirit!  You have overcome the world!  Draw near to us and draw us near to you!   John 12:32“And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all things to myself.”
