Urgent and Crisis Mode

Help Me Help Others! -Signed, A Prayer Warrior Urgent And Crisis Mode! Why is it the only time we tend to pray is when we have an urgent need or we are in crisis mode? We should all carve out 15 minutes daily to talk to God, and spend time praying for a worthy cause outside our own. We should carve out time to pray as a means of giving Thanks for the blessings that we already have.We should pray to have God give us the grace to be better, and to help us improve our lives in ways that are suitable to him. We ask God to help us understand his WILL for us today and work TODAY to accomplish what he intends. We should pray for God to grant us mercy for our shortcomings and for those things we failed to do.We should PRAY IT FORWARD for a worthy cause and for those in need! We all work better as a group rather than operating in Silo’s, so we should make every effort to be involved in some type of communal prayer, starting with Mass. We tend to wind up in urgent or in crisis mode when God is lost or brushed aside as an afterthought!  When the young Christ could not be found from the return trip from Jerusalem, Mary and Joseph retraced their steps and found Jesus in his fathers house!  When Christ is not present, or lost in our lives, then we should do the same, retrace our steps, back to what we learned early in life, and come back to the Father’s house.  When two or more are gathered in my name, there I am also!  The power of prayer is compounded when we gather in communal prayer, for a common cause, and when Christ is present.

Make Your Soul a Fortress

Make Your Soul A Fortress To Shelter Yourself…And So Others May Seek Shelter In You Imagine you have castle and in it you have something very precious stored up which is not only unique, but in fact is a one of a kind artifact. This gem is sought out by many, and those who desire it most, are willing to go to great extremes to take possession of it.  Your enemy is crafty and can and will use any means, including force to bring it under their control! What measures would you take to preserve and protect this precious artifact?  Would you not be almost singularly focused in your efforts to build an unbreakable fortress?  Would you befriend, plead, and engage as many allies as you can to build that fortress and to protect your valuable interest?  Would you take some time on a daily basis to expand the strength and depth of the fortress you have created! Would you not take time to spot check daily, to make sure you haven’t somehow left yourself vulnerable? Would you not have a regiment taking on night duty to prevent a sneak attack? Well our soul is that precious artifact and your body is the temple in which the spirit of God dwells!Hang on to it with everything you’ve Got!!!! “Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.” Corinthians 3:16-17.

You're Either Part of the Problem or Part of the Solution

Be A Part Of The Solution! You’re Either Part Of The Problem Or Part Of The Solution.  I finally decided I was going to fight the urge to Complain about all the social injustices and criminal activities and atrocities we see every day!  I only seem to get angry and anger feeds on itself, so it has a compounding effect.  God Knows there is enough anger out there in the world. So make a commitment to reserve judgment, avoid expressing your anger, verbally or online (all you Facebook, Twitter, and snap chat subscribers). Now…how and what can you do to be a part of the solution!  The first is a sincere and heartfelt prayer to relieve the world of these atrocities!  You naysayers are already asking what kind of impact can one person praying have and, if it works, why hasn’t it worked already? The Blessed Mother says enough prayer can change the forces of nature.  Prayers can even avert wars!  That’s serious Power! And just like anger feeds on itself, enough communal and collective prayer can turn back the tide on the evil that exists! Evil exists when good people stand by and do nothing.  Evil “grows” when good people “bitch” and do nothing! The reason it hasn’t worked already is not enough people are actively praying! So I ask once again…are you part of the problem or part of the solution? It’s Time to turn back the tide on Evil in this world!  One prayer at a time!

Staying Connected

Ever feel like you’re a little disoriented?  Like you’re disconnected from everything going on around you?   You feel like you really lack focus, and you want to get back on track, when things in your life seemed to click, but you don’t know quite how? In fact you’re even wondering how you got here? St. Augustine once said that all people were created for communion with God, and that our hearts will never rest until they rest in God! All too often we try to fill this void with superficial rewards, but they only leave us wanting! Meditative prayer is the only way to ‘scratch the itch” our souls have to be intimate with God, and gain the peace and serenity that kind of intimacy rewards us with! “Then Yeshua said, ‘I am the true vine, and my Father takes care of the vineyard. He removes every one of my branches that doesn’t produce fruit. He also prunes every branch that does produce fruit to make it produce more fruit.  You are already clean[a] because of what I have told you.  Live in me, and I will live in you.  A branch cannot produce any fruit by itself. It has to stay attached to the vine.  In the same way, you cannot produce fruit unless you live in me.  I am the vine. You are the branches.  Those who live in me while I live in them will produce a lot of fruit.  But you can’t produce anything without me.  Whoever doesn’t live in me is thrown away like a branch and dries up.  Branches like this are gathered, thrown into a fire, and burned.  If you live in me and what I say lives in you, then ask for anything you want, and it will be yours.  You give glory to my Father when you produce a lot of fruit and therefore show that you are my disciples.'”  John 15: 1-8. Well, we all need to keep grounded, rooted and connected! Intimate prayer is what “keeps us connected” and our daily actions with our hearts and souls in union to God allows us to produce the abundant fruit of Christian living. Like any smart device which needs to be “plugged in and recharged” to operate, so it is that our souls need meditative prayer to re-connect with God, and supercharge our lives! Time to retrofit yourself, get plugged in and engaged, and reconnect with God through sincere humble prayer!

Free Will

Free Will. No force on earth and none in hell can take away your will. It was a God-Given Grace that we all have! The Choices we make of our own Free will is what defines us! “Alone Lord, I am nothing!  With you Lord, I can do anything you ask!  No sin of mine is greater than your love, and therefore Lord I ask in my own deep sorrow for your love and forgiveness.  I offer you, then, through my own free will, all that I have, all that I can deliver to you Lord, for your greater glory!  It is not my will, but your will be done!”   AMEN.
