A book of prayers to the Holy Face of Jesus

5/4/22  ​Peace in our hearts and the stillness of our soul, allows God to speak, and gives room for the Holy Spirit to work.Virtues take root in the humility and quiet of a spirit at rest.    God speaks to us in a whisper. Prayerful meditation is where our thoughts be as one with our maker! We learn to develop the virtue of compassionate listening! The depth of his intimacy is revealed in our thoughts in the manner in which his omnipotence is revealed through the eyes on a star lit night! Humility, silence, and compassionate listening allow us to unite more intimately withOur God,  Our Spouse  Our Family  Out neighbor.  May Our thoughts be as One.    May our ears listen to the silence together! Humility must be sought after for these virtues to develop and for Christ to be elevated. John 3:27-36, (DR)“John answered and said: A man cannot receive any thing, unless it be given him from heaven. You yourselves do bear me witness that I said that I am not Christ, but that I am sent before him. He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, who standeth and heareth Him, rejoiceth with joy because of the bridegroom's voice. This my joy therefore is fulfilled. He must increase: but I must decrease. He that cometh from above is above all. He that is of the earth, of the earth he is, and of the earth he speaketh. He that cometh from heaven is above all. And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth: and no man receiveth his testimony. He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God doth not give the Spirit by measure. The Father loveth the Son: and he hath given all things into his hand. He that believeth in the Son hath life everlasting: but he that believeth not the Son shall not see life: but the wrath of God abideth on him."

4/30/22  ​Judgement and Justice awaits us now! God’s Grace and Mercy will pass only through Judgement and Justice!  Woe to you who build on power, and intellectual pride!  You have forgotten your creator and the majesty of Our God!  You will now be powerless as you experience the Power and the might of the God who created you!  Of the God who has seen enough of your obstinance and arrogance!  Enough of Oppression on the innocent and the weak!  No more!  You will be shaken and purified through my judgment and my justice!  You will know by your own experience the eyes of the poor and the weak whom you have tormented! Repent!  Your judgement awaits!  Seek an ounce of charity toward those you have tormented and forgiveness from the afflicted ones you have sinned against!  

4/28/22  Memories are rewarded or repulsed by repetition.  Rewarded by humility, and good prayer habits,  repulsed by reminders of sinful acts and disoriented passions.  Seek always, prayers of love and thanksgiving so that the only lasting memory is of the Passion and Cross of Christ wherein lies our salvation.  Make this lasting memory become the everlasting salvation of our souls!    2 Corinthians 1:20-22 (NIV) "Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come."

4/25/22  The struggle sets the steps to solace and serenity.  Patience and tolerance are tested to extremes by grace and by passions!  Grace to draw us ever closer to God and passions that pull us toward worldly desires, desires of the flesh, and temptation!  A right ordered use of Free Will focuses the desire reach for God’s Will over our own and to create prayerful habits to free us from the chains that pull us from purity and innocence.  The two fold nature of Reason and appetite must be right ordered with God’s Divine order!  Our Free Will must be in harmony with God’s Divine Will! Grace will flow and we will receive grace and blessings to overcome the world, the flesh and the devil.  This is a life of abundance!  As we surrender, we overcome!  ​

​4/24/22  Lord let my hands be your hands,    In helping, in healing, and in strength.  Lord let my eyes be your eyes,  To see with truth, and love, and mercy.  Lord let my ears be your ears,  To hear the voice of God, the silence of the universe, the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and the truth in your word.  Lord let my voice be your voice,  Of truth, of obedience, of faith, of harmony with God’s Will and God’s law.  Let my voice always be a prayerful voice of love, and intimacy to you, to my family and to my neighbor!  Lord let my heart be a merciful and humble heart,  A heart that prayerfully seeks grace from you and yields the fruit of love and mercy for others!  Let my heart be truly divine In it’s mercy as your heart is beyond compare In it’s Divine Mercy!    Ingratitude of the People 9:26-38“But they provoked thee to wrath, and departed from thee, and threw thy law behind their backs: and they killed thy prophets, who admonished them earnestly to return to thee: and they were guilty of great blasphemies. And thou gavest them into the hands of their enemies, and they afflicted them. And in the time of their tribulation they cried to thee, and thou heardest from heaven, and according to the multitude of thy tender mercies thou gavest them saviours, to save them from the hands of their enemies. But after they had rest, they returned to do evil in thy sight: and thou leftest them in the hand of their enemies, and they had dominion over them. Then they returned, and cried to thee: and thou heardest from heaven, and deliveredst them many times in thy mercies. And thou didst admonish them to return to thy law. Yet in thy very many mercies thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them: because thou art a merciful and gracious God. Now therefore our God, great, strong, and terrible, who keepest covenant and mercy, turn not away from thy face all the labour which hath come upon us, upon our kings, and our princes, and our priests, and our prophets, and our fathers, and all the people from the days of the king of Assur, until this day. And thou art just in all things that have come upon us: because thou hast done truth, but we have done wickedly. Our kings, our princes, our priests, and our fathers have not kept thy law, and have not minded thy commandments, and thy testimonies which thou hast testified among them. And they have not served thee in their kingdoms, and in thy manifold goodness, which thou gavest them, and in the large and fat land, which thou deliveredst before them, nor did they return from their most wicked devices. Behold we ourselves this day are bondmen: and the land, which thou gavest our fathers, to eat the bread thereof, and the good things thereof, and we ourselves are servants in it. And the fruits thereof grow up for the kings, whom thou hast set over us for our sins, and they have dominion over our bodies, and over our beasts, according to their will, and we are in great tribulation. And because of all this we ourselves make a covenant, and write it, and our princes, our Levites, and our priests sign it.”(2 Esdras 9:26-38, DR)Lord, Thank you for allowing a humble servant to be ingratiated by your Divine Love!Who could ever behold this Divine and self sacrificing love, the merit of the cross of salvation!You are the conquering King and through the Crown of Thorns, and pierced Sacred Heart, we have been anointed with the oil of gladness and the blood of the lamb!Your Divine Mercy and Justice was made manifest when you overcame sin and death and opened the door to salvation for those who choose to seek it!Banish now Lord by this same Divine Mercy and by Your Holy Countenance, crowned now with the Crown of Glory, all wicked and evil that seeks to destroy and dissuade souls from receiving the grace and the glory that your passion, death and resurrection granted them!Save us now, savior of the world!
