Yikes!

Oops. So Sorry! Forgive my Ignorance. I have been blessed in having my good  friend Alan Kim carry the load in developing, maintaining and posting my blog articles for this site.  (He is even posting the pictures and the captions for each blog post) and wish to first of all publicly thank him for his time and talent in this endeavor! In  a little over a year now, we exceeded the 100 post milestone for which I am humbled and grateful.   I wish to apologize publicly to you all for not heeding Alan’s advice in responding to feedback from readers on various posts! You see I informed Alan at the onset not to inform me of the number of blog subscribers we had! My thought was I would either get a swelled head or get discouraged depending on participation, neither of which were desirable to me! My goal is to always stay humble and focused at the task at hand, which to me was posting these articles! I am also very illiterate on blog sites and technology with no desire to try to learn them! When Alan informed me that readers were responding to blogs and that they should be replied to, out of ignorance and out of time constraints I said I would likely not be responding. (Candidly, it felt like Facebook and because of the same time constraints I am not a Facebook subscriber) Reality check is I am grateful for your readership to this blog, and know now I need to be more proactive and communicative in responding to your feedback! Please accept my deepest apologies for not having responded to prior post comments and feedback! I ask also to please be patient with me as I learn this and also know that T may take a day or two before I carve out time to respond! Blessings to you all for your patience and participation! May God’s grace embrace you May the Holy Spirit fill you And may the Peace of Christ complete you! PS- still have no idea how many subscribers we have but ask that you please share this with a friend or family member and sign up so you can receive new blog posts as they get posted!

Nature Abhors a Vacuum

Black Holes In Space…Light Gobbling Behemoths. They’re Within Us Too…Let Grace Fill The Void As Only God Can! According to the ancient philosopher Aristotle, “(n)ature abhors a vacuum.” Nature requires every space to be filled with something, even if that something is colorless, odorless air. The same principle is at work in our spiritual lives. When the Holy Spirit begins to convict us of sin, the idea of starting a self-improvement plan immediately comes to mind. We put forth our best effort to defeat our worst habits. But every attempt to get rid of unclean thoughts, attitudes, and desires is destined to fail because getting rid of one creates a vacuum in our souls. As soon as we empty ourselves of one vice, others move in to take its place, and we end up just as bad or worse than when we started. Mother Teresa gives us a starting point to assist us: “We must be present with and to the Lord, in silence as Mary practiced silence. We begin with silence of the will, that is, willing nothing but the will of God. Begin here and the rest will come. The Holy Spirit will come upon you and you will experience silence. Guard and protect it with love and you will become a garden enclosed. Silence is the soil for the seed of the word.”  –St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta, p. 50. Once we silence our own will, we need to consciously remove sins and vices of the heart, mind and soul through prayerful repentance and sincere confession! We need to then “fill the void” with graces, gifts and virtues to get us back on track! Perhaps this prayer can help: Blessed Mother full of Grace help me to live in a state of grace so that I may bring Christ Jesus into my heart, to fill my heart and to unite his sacred heart with my own!Blessed Mother help me to live in profound humility as you did the lowly hand maid of the Lord, so that I may always know my nothingness and fully appreciate God’s allness! Through this profound humility let my soul become a pure and empty vessel so that I may be “filled” with the gift of Holy Spirit!Come Holy Spirit come by means of the Powerful intercession of the Immaculate heart of Mary, your well beloved spouse! Blessed Mother, you have found favor with God! Help us Mother through your intercessory prayers to know and fully understand God’s divine will for us so that we may serve the Triune God to the fullest! In Jesus Name we pray! Amen

Control Freak

Let It GoControl Freak.  My wife has always called me a control Freak, and she would know! In fact I have found that most entrepreneurs are! They are used to leading! They have an ability to take control and effect positive outcomes, even in tough situations! They are “take charge” people. They accept risk and work diligently to manage it! But we all better know when to lead and when to follow! It’s a fool’s folly to think we have full control of anything! “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding!  In all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”  Proverbs 3:5-6.  “He who trusts in himself is lost. He who trusts in God can do all things.”   St. Alphonsus Liguori

Simple

I Am Just A GuyI am just a guy with a few good habits. I am just a guy who decided to create those few good habits because I got a lot of bad ones. I am just a guy that made a list of priorities and am doing the best to follow them. I am just a guy who hopes you realize that this life is nothing in context to eternity! I hope you make a habit of remembering that!

Remember the First and the Last

Remember The First And The LastRemember the first words in Our Lord’s ministry, when he came out of the desert saying “repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand” (we need to repent and confess our wrongdoings). Remember the last words before His passion in the Last Supper, “this is my blood of the everlasting covenant, which was shed for many” (never forget the fulfillment of God’s promise and the incredible gift we were given). Remember the first words and last words in His passion, “(N)ot my will but yours be done.”(Remember the Love freely given). “Father to you I commend my spirit.” (This is the ultimate union with God). Remember the first miracle at Cana and the Blessed Mother’s request to her Son and her instruction “ do whatever He tells you.” (Remember her intercessory Power). Remember the first time the three apostles saw Christ illuminated in his divinity on Mt. Tabor at the the transfiguration, when His humanity turned into divinity! And remember the last time His divinity turned into humanity when you received through transubstantiation the divinity of Christ himself in you at Holy communion! Yes, the amazing grace of Christ in you! How long ago was that again?
