A book of prayers to the Holy Face of Jesus

St Joseph, teach me to be a warrior like you!  St Joseph Speaks:  “Cast your net deep! Broaden your reach! Be sure your net is strong. Listen to the Lord, He will tell you when and where to cast! Ask God to strengthen your arms so that you do not weaken from the haul!”  Luke 5:1-11 (RSV)"While the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God,  he was standing by the lake of Gennes′aret.  And he saw two boats by the lake;  but the fishermen had gone out of them and were washing their nets.  Getting into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, he asked him to put out a little from the land.  And he sat down and taught the people from the boat.  And when he had ceased speaking, he said to Simon,  “Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”  And Simon answered, “Master, we toiled all night and took nothing!   But at your word I will let down the nets.”  And when they had done this, they enclosed a great shoal of fish;   and as their nets were breaking,  they beckoned to their partners in the other boat to come and help them.  And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.  But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying,  “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.”  For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the catch of fish which they had taken; and so also were James and John, sons of Zeb′edee, who were partners with Simon.  And Jesus said to Simon,  “Do not be afraid; henceforth you will be catching men.”  And when they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed him."

12/1/22  St Joseph Speaks: “Clean your closet! Remove the non essentials that clutter your life of holiness and faith! Seek the graces of a contemplative life. To be an instrument of God’s Grace, You must void yourself of the physical and spiritual clutter that consumes your thoughts, your words, and stymies your ability to do good deeds. A simplistic interior life of faith,  is a disciplined focus and love of God. Be relentless in your pursuit of “effective” prayer and fasting!  Docility is being centered in the Will of the Father, and you must not let the “things” of this world crowd out your focus on unity with the Father and the Son,  and on seeking constant inspiration and guidance of the Holy Spirit! One must empty oneself of the distractions of a Godly and God fearing existence,  that can only come with humility, good habits, and an ever deepening love for God! James 4:8 (DR)  “Come near to God and he will come near to you.  Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”  Be of a singular mind and focus on God and his glory so that you may be the light and love that imitates Christ Jesus in all things!” 

11/28/22“If men and women looked at their lives more in deaths rear view mirror they would see their lives true meaning!”  November 28 reflection from the Book When the Lord Speaks to Your Heart We all have an identity!  We all have a destiny!  We all have spiritual gifts! Start with the end in mind and reflect back on the really really important things. Where you are going? And what you are leaving behind? The light of your lamp can burn long after you leave the room. Know the way! Show the way! Leave the light on when you leave!  1 John 4:18-21 (DR)Fear is not in charity:  but perfect charity casteth out fear, because fear hath sin.And he that feareth is not perfected in charity.  Let us therefore love God:  because God first hath loved us.  If any man say:  I love God, and hateth his brother; he is a liar.  For he that loveth not his brother whom he seeth, how can he love God whom he seeth not?  And this commandment we have from God, that he who loveth God love also his brother.      

  11/22/22  Stop gawking at the enemy.  Return your gaze to God! Never try to match wits with a demon! Rather, let them die of neglect.  We do this by a life of constant humble prayer.  And acts of ardent charity. Seek always the greater Spiritual gifts,   and peace in your heart. Holiness is the end product of good habits and a conviction to Christ!   Proverbs 4:25-26 (ESV)"Let your eyes look directly forward,    and your gaze be straight before you.Ponder the path at your feet:then all your ways will be sure."   

11/19/22 Salvation and sanctification were already bought and paid for with Christ on the Cross!  We have been redeemed at a great price! All that remains is collaboration with the graces God wishes to apply to our soul! And God in his grandeur, and glory,  grants certain graces for us and for others through humble prayer! God’s infinite mercy and grace has been ripe for the taking by the merits of Jesus Christ! Prayerfully cooperate with Grace, for yourself and for others! The seed of salvation was already purchased and planted!  Reach now for the sun and the Spiritual waters of grace!  The time of the harvest has come for those who are ripe for the picking and ready for salvation! Share the good news and bring other souls to redemption as you share the Glory of God with your prayers and your gifts! Prayer draws grace directly from its source!  Matthew 7:7, Luke 11:7   “Ask, and it shall be given you: seek, and you shall find: knock, and it shall be opened to you.”With so few souls praying, few souls must pray incessantly!  Never doubt the importance nor the power of Intercessory prayer!  Be intimate with God in prayerful communication of love, of intercession, and reparation for souls!
